In the comment box below, write an evaluation of the wiki project. You don’t need to respond to the book (you’ve already done that) -- just the online portion of the project. It would be really helpful if you could be as specific as possible with suggestions so that we can adjust for the future.
Thank you for being part of this pilot project!
In your response, you might address:
· what you liked and didn’t like about the project
· how you felt about being able to respond to things without putting your name on your work
· whether or not you found it useful to look at other students’ responses
· any changes you would like to see now that we are a little more comfortable with the format
If you can think of anything else that might be helpful, please let us know! Once you have addressed the online portion, feel free to address the project as a whole: books, wiki, films, etc.

I liked putting my work in without having to put my name, it was pretty nice.It was also nice to know what others thought of the book too, and if it affected any of them.I think that this project was okay, i think that its cool that this project is informing people of what is going on in other country's and making them use their brains. But i do not know if some people take the project seriously.

What I liked about this project that it was easy to fallow and it was helpfull to be doing the assigments as we read the book. What I didn't like about the project was that when you were working on something you couldn't just go back to the page that your assignment was on, you would have to search for it.I liked the fact that we didn't have to put our name on things, expecialy when others were reading it.It was helpful to look at other students' responses, to see how they answered questions and what they thought about the book. I thought it all worked pretty well. I wouldn't change much except just to have a home assignment page wherever I was.

I liked the project but I didn't like doing it on the wiki. I couldn't really keep up with the assignments on the wiki. I did like commenting and reading other people's work and it was good that you didn't know who the person was. It was good to read other people's work and see how they responeded to thier questions. I don't think I would make any changes about the wiki.

this project has the potential of being really cool, but I think there is still some stuff that needs to be worked out.

I did not like doing the assignment thing on the computer. I feel it was very confusing. I messed up alot trying to save my work so I also couldn't keep track of what assignments ive done. I liked how we are learning about the whole refugee thing but i wish we did the assignments a different way. I like the fact that we could explain our thoughts with out using our name because people are morel likely to really express their thoughts knowing that people are not going to know who wrote it. I did kind of like being able to look at other peoples responses because than i can see there point of view on the same book that im reading because im sure people felt the same way at some point about how awful they had it. I think some kids enjoyed the project and some didn't!

I did not really care for this project that much. I would rather be given something to do on a peice of paper and doing that in a group. I couldn't keep up with the assigments on the wiki. I like having every thing I have to do right in front of me on a peice of paper.

Overall this project was OK. IT was a little time concuming. It was hard to find time to get in the comp. lab to do some of the asingments. But I have deffanitley learned alot from this progect. Not only does it make us aware of what is happening in other countries around us, but it also give us a better understanding of how refugees are makeing it in the US. The WIKI is also a great way to keep in contact with classmates or other people that might be reading or trying to overcome problems with somthing. There is great potential here for the WIKI............ Thank you for the experience........

i liked the comic strips because its easier to read but i didnt like anything about this project it was dumb and boaring and a waste of time in my honest opinion. i didnt reall care for the work because it wasnt hands on enough well actually at all. yeah it was useful only if the did the same work as you. the changes i would make would make it more hands on or dont do the project at all.

I think the wiki was a good idea and i thought that it was really easy once you got the hang of how to opperate it. I thought that it made things easier to see other peoples responces, because then you could check you work and compare it to the other peoples work. I also thought that it was cool not needing to put my name on my work, however I did find it to be somewhat frustrating not knowing who commented on my work....Overall I thought that it was a great idea and I think it would be even better if it was used by other class's as well, like math, science, etc...

I liked the whole wiki project because i got to read about everyone elses books, and not only just learn from mine. I also liked it because i got to listen to other peoples ideas on the book so it gave me a different outlook on what the women in the book had to go through.

So i personally feel that this is an ok project. It is something to do besides writing and do like the fact that you can compare and look at other peoples ideas and things while reading the same book. I think that it wold be a good thing for classes to do in teh future and thats about all FOLKS!!!

I think if you fix some minor things, this could be a decent project. Also, maybe have one place where the kids can talk about the book, a seperate wiki page for everyone to converse about it. Not talk to them personally by posting on people's pages as it can get really annoying. Your personal pages could be where you post your private work, and the responses while the community page is where anyone and everyone could discuss, or others who read different books could ask questions while the students who have read the book could answer them. That way, you can learn a little bit more about each book. Not that I really want to, just a suggestion.

This wiki project was enjoyable and easy to opperate. I found the assignments easy to do but also time consuming as well. I like the privacy involved with the wiki. Not putting your name on work you have done while others observe it makes the project a lot easier to do. Being able to look at other peoples responses I found was very helpful. Just to see if they agree or disagree with what you have to say makes the book easier to understand. I can't think of any significant changes that would be useful. I think the project was well organized and easy to operate.

The wiki project was good but at first it was hard because i couldn't really grasp how to use it. One thing i liked about it was it is like a blog site where people can comment on you work or give their ideas to help you along the way. Didn't really change anything by not putting my name on my work but it was okay i guess. I liked being able to look at others work because it helped me to be able to start my ideas. The only thing i would change is how it gets explained in the begining other than that i think you should use it in the coming years.

This was an interesting project. It's alot easier doing it this way, you can get feedback from other students easliy, write your thoughts down in stead of going through tons of paper. Simple and easy to do!

I thought at first it was hard to do, but the more i got use to it, i started to like it. However, the hard thing was, sometimes having not enough time to do the things that were required becuase we had to do stuff before we would go down to the computer lab. I did like though towards the end were it would only be one thing to do or maybe two things to do for the day the requiremen. I like how nobody knew who you were. i felt i could express myself more without having people saying stuff. I did like looking at ohter students reponsese to the book or atricles they had read. Its neat to see that mostly everybody had they same input about things. The biggest thing i would change would be a little more time and makesure everybody knows how to log in correctly becuase some thing so simple, turn into a hard situation, when no one remembered how to log in. So that put me behind in the work requirements, so sometimes i felt stressed. All and all it was good!!

I really liked this project. The book was good, which made the project better. It really helps you understand the book better by doing your responses and if there is something you don't understand in the book all you have to do is read someone els's opinions. I liked that alot. The only part i didn't like was the fact that it took so much time to do. This project was very time consuming but very effective. Overal it was one of the best and most fun out of all the projects i have ever done.

I enjoyed this project. I liked how eveyone was reading differnt books and being able to look online and see what the other books were all about. some parts of the wiki i didnt like. it was hard for me to keep track of what i had and havent done. but other than that i liked the wiki. it was a way to get out of the calss room and do something differnt. overall i liked this project and would do another one like it.

I liked doing this project because i like doing things that are more hands on than just sitting in the classroom. I liked that we got to go online and use the computers to do waht we wanted with our pages and it made responding to things a lot easier. I liked The fact that if you didnt understand the reading you could go look at another students page and see how they saw the reading. I liked this project the most out of all the projects that we have done this year.Resoponding without my name is just like if my name was right there. I say what im thinking weather you know its me or not. I found it very usefull to look at other peoples responces because it helped me understand some of the things that i didnt get myself. I could look at other peoples things and see how they responded to the same questions and it helped me answer mine better. I think that hte format of the wiki is pretty good. It doesnt really need any changes i guess. I dont know what would make it any better. It is pretty easy to use and i think anybody who has been shown how or has common sence can use this.

The Wiki project was very interesting to do, because I could look through the other students’ works. It also was very interesting, especially for me, to see how American students put their thoughts in their stories. Besides learning how to use wiki, I also learned how to make comments, responses and summaries from the reading. Each similar task improves my English language.

I really enjoyed the Wiki Project. It was something that I had never done before or even heard of. I actually looked forward to coming on the Wiki knowing that I had my own page with all my hard work on it. I really liked how you didnt know who was who because of the secret names. I thought it wasnt that useful to read the other students responces unless you didnt read the book and just read other stufents summaries and used their work. I thought it was a way to somewhat chear. I really think you should continue the Wiki but spend a little more time introducing how to use it because I was very confused on how to do it for a long time and had to teach myself my experiementing with everything.
